Conclusion
Flexicap is a new term introduced in India by SEBI in November 2020 as a new category in mutual fund schemes. It gives many benefits like diversification, risk mitigation, dynamic allocation and the ability to cope with varying market cycles. Unlike multi cap funds which restrict to min 25% allocation each in all the market cap categories, flexicap can invest freely across the market capitalisation, thus it can reduce the high exposure to small-cap stocks and reduce the risk of concentration.
