Any amount paid by the employers for the employees’ benefit is treated as ‘Profit in lieu of salary’ under the Income Tax Act. If the employee bears even a partial amount of premium for group health insurance, they are eligible to avail of a tax benefit. What are the limitations?

1. Standard Policy Coverage

2. Out-of-job means out-of-plan
