United India Insurance’s claim settlement process is straightforward and quick. The claim settlement process is simple to grasp and does not cause policyholders any inconvenience. United India Insurance, which is backed by a large number of healthcare facilities, has quickly settled claims for a large number of policyholders.

Claim Process for Cashless Treatment

For cashless claim settlement, United India Health Insurance maintains a network of over 7,000 hospitals across India. Policyholders have the option of choosing for a cashless claim settlement at their local network hospital. The following are the steps that policyholders must take to complete the claim settlement process:

  • Find a United India Insurance network hospital in the city where you want to have the cashless treatment and Intimate United India Insurance/TPA within 24 hours in case of an emergency and 72 hours in case of a planned hospitalisation. 
  • When visiting a network hospital, bring your cashless treatment card/policy number and member ID.
  • Show the card/policy number and member ID at the United India Insurance network hospital’s insurance desk. 
  • Fill out the pre-authorization form at your network hospital. 
  • The pre-authorisation form will be forwarded to TPA through the hospital once the insurer/TPA has been notified and you have completed the form.
  • TPA will notify the policyholder and hospital if the claim has been approved or rejected once the claim details have been examined and reviewed. 
  • If the claim is approved, the insurer will cover the medical costs directly. If the claim is denied, the policyholder is responsible for paying the bills.

Reimbursement Treatment


In both network and non-network hospitals, a policyholder can file a reimbursement claim. The policyholder must take the following steps in the refund claim procedure:

  • In the event of planned hospitalisation, United India Insurance/TPA should be notified 72 hours in advance of admission. 
  • In the event of emergency hospitalisation, notification should be made within 24 hours of admission. 
  • Within 15 days of discharge from the hospital, the policyholder must submit a reimbursement claim form along with all supporting documentation.
  • The claim management staff of the TPA provides the policyholder with a letter of approval for confirmation of the approval when the investigation of the documents and claim form contents is completed. 
  • The claim is settled within 15 days after verification. If the claim is denied, the insured must answer the insurer’s or TPA’s questions in order to learn the reason for the denial.

Documents Required for Filing a Claim

List of documents needed for smooth and easy filing of claim at United India Health Insurance:

  • Original investigation reports
  •  Pharmacy bills with prescription
  •  Final hospital discharge summary
  •  FIR or post-mortem report, if happened
  •  Original bills, receipts & discharge report
  •  Indoor case papers with the duly-filled claim form
  •  Original hospital bills with a valid photo ID proof
  •  Treating doctor’s report and original consultation notes
  •  Nature of operation performed and surgeon’s bill & receipt
  •  Test reports along with attending doctor’s or surgeon’s report
